Mind Studio is a European webshop that produces and sells extracts from functional mushrooms. Their products are part of a daily routine, making it critical to reactivate customers who have gone inactive.
With a ROAS north of 10x, we helped Mind Studio turn first-time buyers into repeat customers - ones they couldn’t convert through email flows.
The Challenge
Mind Studio’s AOV grows by 138% from the first to the third purchase. On top of that, 83% of repeat purchases happen within 60 days of the first order. In other words, their customers are loyal - but only if they return quickly.
This explains Mind Studios challenge: Once a customer stopped opening emails and hadn't returned within 60 days, they had no tools to bring them back. The customer was lost.
The solution
However, Mind Studio had heard whispers about direct mail. With an open rate close to 100%, they could once again place their offers in front of their customers - and secure that critical repeat purchase. At least, that was the hypothesis.
They decided to test a campaign where they sent letters to first-time buyers who had not made a repeat purchase within 150 days. A completely inactive segment which needed the final push through direct mail.

The results
